Welcome to ShopSilo (we, our, or us), operated under the domain shopsilo.in. We provide retail point-of-sale (POS) billing, digital khata (ledger), and store inventory management services for retailers, merchants, and customers across India.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you access our web platforms, mobile applications, and associated APIs in full compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and Google API Services User Data Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimal information necessary to deliver our retail POS and khata management services:

Account Information: Name, phone number, email address, store/business name, and encrypted credentials.
Google OAuth Profile Information: When you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your Google ID, email address, verified display name, and profile picture avatar.
Store & Transaction Records: Inventory items, product prices, customer names & phone numbers (for digital khata), payment records, and sales history.
Device Permissions:
- Camera: Used solely for scanning product barcodes and uploading bill receipts. We never record or transmit video feeds.
- Photos / Storage: Used solely to let you choose product catalog photos or download PDF invoices to your device.

Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance:
ShopSilo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We strictly use your Google profile information (email, name, picture) to authenticate your identity and protect your retail store data. We never sell, monetize, or share Google user data with advertisers, third-party data brokers, or external AI models.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your secure merchant/customer account.
To synchronize your khata ledger, stock catalog, and sales history across your devices.
To send digital payment receipts and polite udhar reminders via SMS and WhatsApp.
To detect fraud, prevent unauthorized store logins, and ensure account security.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is transmitted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS encryption). Sensitive data such as session tokens and authentication keys are stored using cryptographic hashing (SHA-256 and bcrypt). User data is hosted on secure enterprise cloud infrastructure with automated backups and firewall isolation.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or store transaction data. Data is shared exclusively with necessary infrastructure providers to operate the app:

Cloud database hosting and infrastructure providers.
SMS / WhatsApp notification gateways (Meta Cloud API) strictly to deliver your requested receipts and OTPs.

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have full ownership of your data. You may request an export of your store data or ask for complete deletion of your account and transaction history at any time by contacting us.
